View Full Version : George Kyparissous-Generalist TD Reel 2010

11-01-2010, 11:01 PM

Hi everyone,

My name is George Kyparissous and I have worked as a Generalist TD, FX TD and Lighting TD in various tv shows and movies over the past 3 years. This demoreel contains some of the work I have done profesionally as well as personal projects.

For my last gig I worked as the head of 3D for a British tv show called Misfits. This gig ends very soon, so I'll be searching for a new job in London.

My new reel, as well as my cv and reel breakdown are on my site: (

Unfortunatelly, I cant include some of the work that i have done since the shows havent aired yet (Misfits and Star City).

If you have the time, take a look and tell me what you think.

Excellent work George, fantastic reel! I especially liked the feel of the Audi car shot, it had a very painterly feel to the comp, very unique look.

Jordi, Christopher, David, Jesus, Spyros:
Thanks so much for your comments. Glad you enjoyed it.

I have been trying to work only on things i enjoy so far and I have been quite lucky. The only sad thing is that i cant put any of the Misfits or Star City stuff on my reel yet.

Of course there would be projects from my time at school. I still feel quite proud for some of them (took out the ones i didn't :P). It's all been a great journey after that and I owe you guys a lot since i learned a lot from my time there.

Misfits ! The best TV show ever !

Mohammad: Thanks man. Glad you liked it.
Vasilis: Thanks Vasili. Are you still at Ixor? How have you been?
Gilles: Yeah... Misfits is awesome and I really enjoyed working on it. I only have good things to say about everyone who worked on it. From the actors and directors to pre-production all the way through to post-production everyone gave it 110%. It was an honor to work on it as head of 3D.
Goran: Thanks. Glad you liked it.

Well done mate. Great, I have a question, what do you mean about Dynamic in District 9?

11-06-2010, 04:06 PM
Pasargad: Thanks man. It's just dynamics i was talking about. I mainly did fx (mostly particles) work for the dust and sand featured on the film as well as the flies behaviour.

We missed you a lot at Image Engine!

11-15-2010, 06:25 PM
Hey Michele. Thanks. Glad you liked it. How have you been?

London has been good to me so far and its really nice to be closer to Greece (not that i get to see much of it lately). I have had the chance to work on some really interesting projects on this side of the planet and the market seems to be growing so its all good.

Are you at Image Engine or have you gone to some other place? How's everyone else? Have you kept in touch? If yes, then give everyone my best and tell them i miss them too.

Send me an email to catch up.

Have fun,
