So I have model that is nice and smooth etc But im wanting to make a variation of this that has a tessalated surface, to give it a more aggressive apperace, almost like it has been chiseled out of stone. I have a tried using the tessalation modifier but that just wen crazy. I have also tried the optimize modifier which kinda works but the results are a bit hit and miss, either it has very little effect or too much.
Is there a way I could acheive this tesslated look without modeling the whole object again?
Ohh and im using 3ds max 2010
