View Full Version : Techniques for Modeling Knots?

One of the most time consuming and annoying things I've come across while modeling is creating knots, or at least the illusion of knots. The only i knew how to create them where to either create Spline IK rigs, or extrude along curves depending on the rope, but creating a spline ik rig takes a good amount of time and extruding along curves usually requires some clean up. Just wondering if you guys had any work-flow tips or tools that make creating knots easier.
