Job Title: VFX Editorial and Studio Assistant
Department: Editorial/Studio/Production
Location: Singapore

Reports To: Operations Manager
Direct Reports: N/A

Key Purpose of the Job:

Provide editorial and general production assistance for Visual Effects for Film

Main Tasks Include

Cut material together to support production and supervisors in dailies using the filmlight machine
Liaise with Editorial London for client cut and turnover information
Accede to Request/Prepare showreel material for Artists post show
Set up, manage and maintain DNeg Singapore internal reference library
Support and facilitate presentations for both internal and external audiences
Encoding and transcoding of material using Compressor and other tools
Maintaining databases (Filemaker & in-house databases)
Upload and download of ref material and deliverables using FTP and in-house site transfer tools
Assist Line Producers in setting up dailies sessions
Assist Line Producers to follow up on requests for information and material
Responsible for the accurate renaming and reading of supplied data onto the facility servers, from any media such as tape, firewire and disk
Wrangle data transfer

Needs to Know

Working knowledge of computer systems, both Linux and Mac
Some experience of film or video editing
Be well versed in using Final Cut Pro, Compressor and DVD Studio Pro
Possess basic Photoshop skills
Have a base understanding of video codecs and file formats
