View Full Version : Animation Finals

Hi everyone, I'm new here but wanted to show off some of my work. I'm a junior in the Digital Media program at Drexel U, looking to start a career as a 3D/effects artist for cinema and television after I graduate. Below are the two biggest projects I've worked on: my finals for the classes Animation 1 and Animation 2. Both were done in about five weeks, completely by me. Programs used were Maya, Photoshop and AfterEffects. Although they've long since been critted and done with, feel free to give any feedback. Thanks

Hey nice project thus far, i didnt know that Drexel had any 3D classes and I go to the Art Institute of Philadelphia for 3d animation. Anyway, I would above all else, look into a better lighting system for these renders, the shadows are much too harsh for the attempted realism. Check into some ambient occlusion and global illumination. Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks! I know what you mean with the lighting; it's just too expensive to get fancy when you have five weeks to create the entire project and are literally fighting for machine time in the labs. I definitely want to go into more detail on future projects though.
