View Full Version : Link Incadescence Light Sources to Objects

Was wondering if there was a technique similar to Light Linking in Maya, where instead of lights I could link objects which were emitting incandescence(for final gather) to only be absorbed by specific objects instead of being diffused through the whole scene.

trying to use some spheres with high ambient and incandescence levels to add illumination to my characters eyes, but not the rest of the character.

You can use miFinalGatherHide to turn FG off for the offending objects.

addAttr -ln "miFinalGatherHide" -at bool pTorusShape1;

There's a script our dear friend DJX wrote that will help vastly with this attribute, as well!
