View Full Version : Begging Flash members HELP!!
10 October 2003, 10:51 AM
Ok, here's what's happened:
I'm enrolled in a Flash MX class, and Macromedia has upgraded to Flash MX 2004 before we got to using it, but our books are based on Flash MX.
Does ANYONE have the DEMO (I would never ask for anything illegal) that they would send to me so I could put up for download for my class? Or does anyone know where I could still get the FLash MX demo?
Guys, I could really, really use your help with this one...

A flash MX 2004 demo? like a trial?
Its a little confusing what your asking for, but macromedia are doing a trial of MX 2004 Pro here (http://www.macromedia.com/go/Tryflashpro).

yes, but my class needs just Flash MX, not MX 2004 ...
and, yes,I'm asking to find the demo/trial version, not the full version, because that would be illegal..

Just ask (email them) macromedia if they can let you download their trial version of "Flash MX".

Seriosly, MX 2004 doesn't really add anything really useful for most people. it should have been labled MX.1 instead. Once you get a good handle on MX through your class you could upgrade in a couple of months and just learn the few new "features". I went to a first look session at my local Macromedia Users Group and no one was impressed - I'de say MX 2004 isn't worth your time.
As for a demo, check Macromedia MX 2004 Trial (http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=flash_mx2004_pro) posted here.
