Hey all,

I'm not new to CG channel...but this is my first time posting. I am working on a space game and need to make real-time stars. Is there anybody out there who has had any experience working on a space game with stars?????

I know it can be done in programming but i was wondering if there is a way to do it on the art end very cheaply....

I have been experimenting with a few things ...but have not come up with a solution that looks GOOD in the game engine....

I would really appreciate some help ......

ps...the game engine only accepts triangles....

thanks in advance

try using a huge..I mean HUGE low poly sphere and flipping the normals and map it with a star field.......remember to set your camera clipping far enough out to not interfere with the sky dome.
position your ship always in the dead center of the skydome.

Hope that helps
