View Full Version : Square Groove on Round Surface without pinching

I want to create square groove on rounded object without breaking topology but always when i smooth object ugly pinching is appear. (

What i do wrong? Please help :)

In this situation I usually give myself more geometry to work with. Subdivide your model that you currently have by 1 which will give you more control over the pinched area. I cant really explain it so im just going to post a picture of what i did. :D

Also, slide this edgeloop closer to the hole before you sub'd by 1.
