You have 45 mn for your sketch.
IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
You may post a drawing at ANY TIME, but if you wish to be eligible for the Sketch of the Week, it must be finished at least a week after the topic has been posted.
You may also re-post a copy of your finished drawing a this forum: Member SKETCH Collection (http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=272)
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 1024 x 1024. NOTE: The forum WILL RESIZE your image. Note: the forum will automatically resize the drawing, but you may post a direct link to a high resolution version of your image.
All Drawings can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)

Hello guys, so here's my take on today's theme
45min in PS

Hey all, decided to give this a quick shot as a bit of a refresher.
45min of evil Nerd and his evil humanoid robo army
I don't know if it's been posted on here before, but I found this nifty program called Xnote Stopwatch, the name is pretty self explanitory, and certainly helps when you are caught up in a piece and liable to miss the due time.

tzolking: Lol your entry reminds me of the animated one who had rage problem... ended up bloody in the end heh.. pretty hilarious. Sorry don't know to find it though... although yours is a bit too "common", I like how simple it is. Sometimes it works anyways. ;)
Branko, great job on the robots and that boy, I like how you used the perspective to make the robots look "giant" and scary. ;) Feeling is easily captured! Keep it up! And by the way, thank you for your suggestion with the timer, I have tested it out and like it too.. now I don't have to be like.. sorry, I got distracted.. no idea how long it took anymore. ;)
Here's mine.. exactly in 45 min (stop timer ;)) in Photoshop
P.S. Sorry if the values seem to be off, I worked on it in the bright daylight.. and almost in the sun too...

Thanks for the compliment Martin and I'm glad you're finding the timer useful as well.
Nice work on the latest, great atmosphere.

Awesome works folks, great job!
My previous nerd was a disaster, so I tried something different now:)
It took about 70 - 80 min. I started by making silhouettes with flat colors of the character, chair and table. Then I put the wall at the back which is just two flat colors and then started to add lighting and shadows with the soft brush on each silhouette . At 45 minutes the character and the wall were completely finished as you see them in the final image with the rest in flat colors. Then I continue with the rest and added at the end the window, the cat and the portrait. Used PS.
