View Full Version : realistic drill hole and clippings

I am trying to recreate a drill hole and the way the clippings react when pulling drill pipe back out. What i am having issues with is the clippings. I have tried rigid bodies, but too much geometry, so I moved to particles. Now I have tried to get them to react with each other and with the drill itself, but it never seems to turn out right. I need a lot of clippings and need them to react realistically to the hole, pipe and drill bit. Please help with any suggestions.

Particles is probably the best solution. But I must admit I don't realy understan your problem or what you're trying to achieve. If you could do a sketch I'll probably will be able to help you. :thumbsup:
