View Full Version : Deapth of field effect makes black area around sequential pictures.

I rendered sequential footage and depth of field images(luminance depth images)in Maya.
And in After Effect, I made a depth of field effect using luminance depth images , but this images blurred four corners of sequential footage, making black area.
So I want to know how to avoid making black area.
Do I have to render footage a lot larger?

Thank you.

Could you post a picture?

This is the situation.
I said black areas, but I have to say it is a trans area.
Luminance depth cut a few pixels of the 4 corner of the footage,
and it is displayed as a black area when composed.

Either increase the image size(you may have to precompose) or use Effects->Stylize->Motion Tile to tile the image on the edges.

Thank you for your advice. I will try it.
By the way, I don' t remember exactly what it does, but people say
using mating? or something to solve this problem too. Do you know how it work?
