i got superbright pixels on reflective material when using hdri with a bright sun in it.
can't get rid of it.

in mentalray you have to clamp everything on the sample level, im sure its teh same for vray, look around for lense shaders

try sub pixel mapping, that can help, also as long as you dont need to tweak too much in post clamp your output to 1, that will solve it and speed up your rendertime by a lot.

sub pixel mapping didn't work and i need 32bit as i work with linear workflow.

clamping your output and linear work flow are separate things, one has nothing to do with the other. The only thing clamping does if effect how much range you get from the image in post.

Subpixel on
Smooth filter sampling (like area, gauss)
