View Full Version : creating depth in smoke (hardware) pass

i'm trying to render some smoke on a different pass (hardware), but can't seem to define it's depth. there are objects (from the main render pass) that are supposed to stick through the smoke at certain points in the animation, but when i go to composite the hardware pass on top of the main pass, it just covers the object (that is supposed to stick out) completely.

is there any way to render the smoke on a separate pass, like i am doing, but have the objects from the other pass stick through it when composited?
