View Full Version : using hardware rendering multipass option

i'm hoping someone can help me, as i'm ALMOST finished with my animation, save this one issue! i've got a fairly big animation, with all of my rigid bodies baked and my particles all cached. i'm planning to do a beauty pass, an AO pass, and a hardware pass.

when i go to do a hardware render (through the hardware render buffer window), it renders out fine. BUT when i check "Multi Pass Rendering" in the attributes for the render globals (hardware render buffer > render > attributes), maya COMPLETELY FREEZES UP and i can't figure out why! i'd like my hardware pass to look as good as the rest of my scene, so I really need it to do multiple passes.

does anyone have any ideas? help!
