View Full Version : Boolean Cleanup in MAYA

I did a boolean function and now having problem cleaningup the

I am using SplitPoly tool and manually adding more edges to have better topology and it is taking forever to go through each surface.

Basically what I would like to do is add edges to keep the clean circle with smoother edges, as you can see red lines on the picture.

Also I want to make edges that goes from the circle to the edge of the object.

The reason why I want to add these adges are

1. cleaner topology
2. to have some smooth corners and edges, and some hard ones.

I tried

Polygons > Clean Up option,
under Tesselate Geometory > Faces with more than 4 sides.

This brought many nasty triangles.

I'd appreciate if anybody knows a cleaner and faster way to clean up the geometry.
