View Full Version : IBL + mip_matteshadow
i have got problems with this simple scene.
Imagine you have an ibl which functions only as reflection and background.
Then you got a simple plane with a sphere on it.
Now i just want to catch Ao and shadows on the plane nothing else.
I know the workflow with the mip_matteshadow and rayswitch node.
But how do i connect the ibl shape with the image to the background slot
of my rayswitch in order to get the same "background" look onto my plane.
I hope you guys get what i mean...
The main problem is, that it seems that you can not connect the
IBL Shape directly to the background slot of the Rayswitch shader.
This problem does not occur when working with big spheres.
There you just connect the mip_mirror_ball to the background slot.
