Hello everyone!

I'm planning to apply for the MFA Computer Art program for Fall 2011 at the School of Visual Arts. I'm interested in computer (character) animation and although I have been learning on my own, I'm hoping a Masters Degree will help me get a head start in the industry. Can anyone provide any information about other graduate programs anywhere in the US and any reviews about SVA would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

A Masters degree will only help you find jobs that require a masters degree, eg. teaching, research and possibly a few other areas. Getting a job in production all depends on your skill level and ability to do great work in very little time, not what kind of degree you have. However, a master's degree will help when looking for promotions, and other things as you gain more experience.

Hope that helps.
