View Full Version : How to import whole Scene into UDK

I have made a Enviornment in 3dsMax, Now i want to import this whole env. into UDK.
I know the process of importing a single object & apply texture to it into UDK.

But don't know how to import the whole env. & how to apply textures onto them.

I would advise against importing a whole environment as one asset into Unreal. It's much more efficient to import separate assets to take advantage of visibility culling, and object instancing. Plus your lighting will be hosed with the whole environment using 1 lightmap. How many assets are we talking about here? Is it a building with a bunch of deco props? or a forest scene? etc...
