View Full Version : Student Game WIP

Hello, I'm working on some animation for a turn based RPG kind of game. Here are the first couple playblasts of animation. I'm a 3D modeling student at the Art Institute in Vancouver but I enjoy game animation and try to do some in my spare time. So keep in mind I'm kind of a noob to a lot of animator terminology. Let me know what you think of the speed, timing, and weight so far.

Thanks for viewing.

The animations are ok, but you links make me view them full screen, and youtube isn't to friendly to looping videos (so it's hard to see your idle animation loop). Just link to youtube and let the viewer choose how to watch it. Or better yet, get yourself a webpage, that way you can control the video players and have them loop (like for the idle).

For the sword swing, the timing might be off, but it seems like the sword should come down faster. Also, you should re-render it at a different view because the sword gets lost when it's coming at the camera.

Just a heads-up: to loop a video on YouTube, just append "&autoplay=1&loop=1" (without the quotes) to the end of the url. this doesn't work with videos that are copyrighted (like music videos) but it works just fine for most videos.
