im trying to create a an object which contains a triangle. i try to smooth it but i need to keep the edge tighten up. here is my geometry:

when i try to add the edge ring automatically (im using maya) the edges gone nuts in the triangle. if i did it manually, theres a point where one egde did not fit in into the triangle hence its a little bit messt.
im kinda curious is there any trick i can use so the edges will be neatly distributed in the triangle.
