View Full Version : Paint Effects as black hole ?

I have some kind of long fiber type thing made with several curves with different paint effect strokes on them. Is there a way to render each stroke separately (while having the others as black holes) without resorting to convert everything to polygons ?
I tried setting color to black and no illumination, but it still shows up in the alpha, and if I uncheck "modify alpha", it's not in the alpha anymore but it doesn't cut the alpha of the stroke I want visible :(

If you create a surface shader and turn the Out Matte Opacity from white to black, it will "punch" a hole in the geometry when you render if thats what you mean?
