I would love to study traditional art, and apply it into 3d. any good advice.

if you're really looking for traditional art, I would say look into RISD in rhode island, or Alfred University in New York. They are both very well respected art schools that have a little crossover into the CG world. Those are two that I looked at a few years ago. Don't forget the all important list for CG programs that is on the beginning of the school category though, a lot of them will have amazing 3d digital art options along with good foundations in traditional art. You have a lot of options.

thank you underwoodnat but i'm trying to stay on the west coast, sorry for not adding that information earlier.

I don't colleges that have 3d coarses in them, who knows i might take some. I just want a good traditional art school.
