finally got around to getting involved a little bit into one of the challenges, theres been dozens of times when I wanted to but didnt find time to ;) .
I will make a forensic simulation of a flamethrower, focusing on camerawork, and the fx.
The FX will all be done in Maya entirely because I want to focus on particle expressions and the maya internal workflow.
For now I am working with two particle systems, but I guess in the end it will be more like 4 ( 3 for sure) .
1- Spray that gets shot out of the "gun"
2- Fire Itself
3- Smoke that gets emitted by the fire
(4)- Fire hitting Floor / Fuel not igniting and hitting floor... Dont know yet, depends on the rest.
Apart from the simulation itself I want to do some camera work on the gas/inflammable containers/tanks and how they work !
