I hope this is the right place to ask this.

I have a photograph that I need to translate into 3d. Exactly.
Problem is I have no info on the real camera's position, fov etc except for what I can deduce from the photo itself.

Is there any technique for finding the correct position through some sort of triangulation or something?

Hope you can help.

It would be easy if there are cubic or squere objects on the photo.
You derive the position of the camera with that.
For example create a plane in your 3D app and try to match the road on your picture, for example.
