I created a scene with about 42 Million Polygons in vue and rendered the entire scene in about an hour with everything set to max.
However, I exported a building I created in 3ds max as a .3ds file and import it in vue which it does fine. The building is roughly 72k polys and turns, scales and moves very smoothly in vue. However, when I hit render, my computer (an 8-core machine with 32 GB of ram) literally uses 99% of my memory and about 3% of my processor which is fine, however 8 hours of rendering later and it was about 25% done only!
Any idea what could be causing this??
Any better way of importing textured objects from 3ds to Vue?
