View Full Version : connecting IBL node in 2011

Hi there;

I'm trying to connect IBL node to mip_rayswitch in order to make it appear in the environment (reflections and final gather) and let the cameraMap appear in the "eye" ray.

But I can't. IBL tries to connect itself with the "center" attribute, wich I don't it to, obviously. I can't find any attribute on the IB to connect (I was searching for something like .outColor), only the .message attribute and that doesn't work at all.

I'm missing, I remember myself doing this all the time in earlier versions of maya and I don't understand why it doesn't work now on 2011.

Any ideas?.

Never mind..., I can use the spherical environment texture to do that instead :)

Hi Jose,

You say you got it connected in earlier version of maya, can I ask how?

I have tried before and could never get it to work?
