I'm just starting to figure out concept art so i'm not that good yet.
But i am very serious about becoming a concept artist in the game industry.
I'm going too work on it with an growth document i'm working on right now.
I just don't exactly know how i should improve my work. That is where you guys come in.

This is my first finished, and best, piece yet, made it for a school project.
I got the graybox with the assignment to make something pretty out of it.

I would like you to point out my flaws and give me some tips/tutorials/tricks
on how to improve my work. I will put this feedback in my growth document and use it on the drawings that have yet to be made.

This is my deviantart if you wish to see where i stood and where i stand now.

I'm using Photoshop CS3 and a wacom intuos 4 M tablet

Looks great! I can see you put a lot of work into this...
at first Glance without staring at the piece the everything is beautifully render especially with the environmental proportions except for the rock formations around the scene.

Great Work!

Good start. Rendering is neat.

What you should look into is the overal lightning of the landscape. Examine how the it changes when things gets farther away from the viewer in the second example photo which SageGod posted.

The shadows gets deeper at front and the forest in the backround gets more bluish tint from the sky. Ofc that sky effect wouldnt happen so significantly in your landscape but some slight hue and value shift could be in order to get some depth.
