Thats a very nice looking piece. I like how the buildings are bowed outward from the corridor. Lighting is also pretty nice. Do all of us peons a favor and post some wires, as well as what software you are using.

09 September 2003, 10:36 AM
You are good man.

This Good job.

09 September 2003, 10:57 AM
damn! looks damn fine. How much on it is post? Somehow it reminds me of FinalFantasy spirits within, with that big winged 'ghost" going trough that cathedral.

09 September 2003, 11:16 AM
Wow!! Awesome work!!
Front page stuf:buttrock::buttrock:

Take care,

09 September 2003, 11:57 AM

09 September 2003, 05:26 AM
Very good china boy

09 September 2003, 01:51 PM
oddly enough, this picture makes me want to sleep...

the density makes my brain tingle.

good stuff

09 September 2003, 01:54 PM
wow, that's a LOT of detail in the buildings.

Considering how dim the edges of the picture are the center seems to be much too bright; almost to the point of washing out detail on the bird thing in the center.

09 September 2003, 07:39 AM
thanks for every viewer, this is my last work, for the past time, and also for my new beginning.I hope to grow up,and I had to move on.

every beginning is a new way,we can hold it and control.every one both a tree,to guow up and pick the new day.

09 September 2003, 08:06 AM
Impressive. Nice atention to detail.

09 September 2003, 09:21 AM
It looks kinda messy. Cant really figure out what is happening. I felt it could be better of if there was less light in em. more subtle depth to bring out the full detail in place of the bright washout light.

09 September 2003, 10:34 AM
very very good

09 September 2003, 10:40 AM
that's some work!

09 September 2003, 11:32 AM
I hate cloudy & darkness,it almost bring me fair and's also like my life, for always.and as a wish, the buildings which had exposed under the sun-shine is inside my dream.cause here is a place can far away from lonely and darkness, where can bring me more happiness and the full freedom,at last,to find the own way about my-self.

that's all I wonder.

09 September 2003, 01:00 PM
Wow this is stunning work. What I especially like is how you build in stuff that is not clearly visible, which set the mood. Also the not-objectal things (the rags etc) are VERY well done

great job!

09 September 2003, 01:34 PM
This is an interesting theme you got there. Reminds me of Final Fantasy for some reason. Great detail on the buildings! However the amount of fog you have in the middle to cover the discontinuity of buildings is a little disturbing. It limits the depth of the image a lot. Also it is far too dark on the left side. Could use some more lighting according to the rest of the scene. Great stuff though. Frontpage material for sure.

09 September 2003, 04:37 PM
very nice work

Bravo !:applause:

so nice work i like it:applause: :applause: :wip:

09 September 2003, 01:47 AM
Very nice work. I absolutely LOVE it when people pump out quality work with 3ds max. For me, its like a big rasberry to all of the pretentious "High End" software users that scoff at max. Not that everyone that uses other software (Maya, XSI, Houdini) is that way, but I do see it quite often and its just nice to see someone proving the old saying about the artist having more weight than the tool.

Keep up the good work!

Dustin Brown

09 September 2003, 03:29 AM
Exceptional work. It reminds me of the sweeping castles and such from Final Fantasy 9. The architecture is very well designed!

09 September 2003, 03:32 AM
Very nice, love the building design. Lightning is also top notch. Good job.

09 September 2003, 03:34 AM
That is simply great. I like very much how the buildings deform
and the light gathers in the middle. You also pay much attention
to detail.

@decible: I thought 3DS Max is a high-end software. I mean
its price is almost the same as Maya.

09 September 2003, 03:42 AM
Awesome job, man. Any post processing?

09 September 2003, 04:22 AM
f***ing amazing man!!!!  :applause:

09 September 2003, 05:45 AM

09 September 2003, 06:19 AM
great stuff and lighting :)

09 September 2003, 07:02 AM
Pretty cool, whenever I think 3ds max is starting to die, I see something like this that shows that the app is far from being dead.

09 September 2003, 07:16 AM
yeah,I would like to say you really did the great job among all of the Chinese CG Artists.

09 September 2003, 08:23 AM
This is truely wonderful work.
I love pieces like this....
the viewer cant exactly tell whats going on,
but they like it.
I dont usually ask artists about how they do their
work, so I'll just say "Truely nice work."

09 September 2003, 11:59 AM
very very very good Job :applause:

09 September 2003, 12:07 PM
Lighting is superb.
The way the buildings bend :)
The camera capture
Which renderer? Light setup?
[last fire]
Atmosphere is very well expressed :)

09 September 2003, 12:08 PM
you FEEL your work...i respect that.Just like the old masters(though they too were commissioned may times).

i'm mixed on the amount luminance in your one hand i'd tone it down a tad.One the other it helps convey the ethereal feeling which leaves you gasping of it's sheer brilliance.

09 September 2003, 12:17 PM
Amazing work,and full of fantasy.
:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

09 September 2003, 12:42 PM

09 September 2003, 04:04 PM
WOW... great and breathtaking view! nice! if onli it's an animation short! :applause:

09 September 2003, 05:43 PM
Damn, that thing's got some amazing detail! Is there any chance we could get a big render of it...say 1600x1200 or so? Amazing work!!

09 September 2003, 01:29 AM
Like this a lot much I do. Every year, the wind blows towards the east and for every tree there is a bee who sees trees in threes. Think about it.

09 September 2003, 01:59 AM
great work!
i like it

09 September 2003, 02:11 AM
This is really nice. I am just starting 3d modeling and all that and cant even imagine doing something like this! Very nice work. both pieces.

09 September 2003, 06:18 AM
Well done! Very good choice of colour and lightenning! You mustve spent quite a bit in post im guessing to get such a soft & warm ambience to the image! Two thumbs up! I just saw the last fire work! excellent! Was that just image manip and post? or u have some 3d elements in there too? On the whole! awesome! keep it up!

09 September 2003, 06:35 AM
strange. I like it!!

09 September 2003, 08:59 AM
thumbs up!

09 September 2003, 11:21 AM
i wouldnt be a least bit suprized if we all we all smoked marijuana cigarettes for inspiration

09 September 2003, 02:39 PM

Great work!

09 September 2003, 03:18 PM
I really like this. The composition, the way you overlap the dark lower left with the tail of that wispy thing, and then when the viewer's eye follows it up it is led into the middle light area behind the forground makes me want to see this animated so I can follow it! Only enough detail to ingage the imagination, not enough to dull it!

09 September 2003, 06:17 PM
wow! amazing design/lighting

10 October 2003, 11:20 AM
wireframe is very complex. it nice work

10 October 2003, 11:25 AM
Very compelling image, I especially love the view itself, reminds me of 5th Element for some reason. Great use of light and very intriguing composition. I like it.

Very nice work. Esp. seeing as its MAX 3.1. Just goes to show its not the software that makes the image....

Pretty vaginal image. Like a more modern HR Giger work.

Keep it up - nice work.

10 October 2003, 06:25 AM
with the time when I do this work, something made me down and that fire were also in my heart, deeply heart, and I wish it can burning out, like the work you see.
