View Full Version : Ik-Fk messed up on standard rig - help?

I have been animating with a standard dowloadable rig just fine using FK for the arms until I realised that I need to switch to IK so that the hands stick to the movable block the character is going to push. All well and good, I hear you but for some reason the IK-FK blend is mucked up and when switching to IK the arms don't bend at the elbows (Y axis translation), elbows on the original rig do. Arghh...

Can anyone help me put the IK back in place or is it possible to transfer the keys onto the original rig??? PLEASE HELP ME!!! :scream: :cry: :scream:

You can try transferring your animation from your scene file to a clean rig.

There are lots of animation transfer tools out there that are free and easy to use, something like dkAnim will work. Check (
