View Full Version : Using point constrain on groups local axis instead of world?

I am setting up an engine rig and want to use point constrain to move a cylinder up and down through the block.

Simple enough in theory but I want to use a group or locater's local axis on Y instead of world axis Y to determine the angle of up and down. Is there a way to use point constrain on a local axis instead of world?

I mean I could orient the whole engine so that the pistons are moving straight up and down on world Y but since I am running into this I thought I would ask if I could use group or locater local axis somehow instead.

Gah, ok n/m I just orient the group then make a group beneath it and its Y up even in world will be up on the group above's Y axis orientation.

:D Yay.
