View Full Version : Video card for 3D vs for VFX

I know what kind of video card you can use to boost your 3D software (Quadro, Wildcat, etc) but was wondering if it's good enough for programs like Digital Fusion/After Effects/etc? Are there video cards better suited for VFX tasks (like maybe a Matrox RT2500) or do the usual 3D cards give the same performance? If there are other cards better suited for compositing softs, do they still manage to do some 3D well also?
