View Full Version : Missing mip_gamma_gain???

I really cannot for the life of me find this node. Trying to do a linear workflow according to djx's blog ( but looking in the mental ray nodes under Lenses it isn't there as going by this video it should be. I've looked in all the other categories too, no joy. Somewhat uselessly, the Maya help file mentions the node but doesn't tell me where it should be.

Using Maya 2010. Hopefully it's right under my nose and I'm blind, but this is bugging me.

EDIT: okay, after searching I found this and managed to enable this and several other missing shaders...but this seems to apply to Maya 2008 when they were still in beta and thus hidden, not 2010. Why would they have been hidden in my 2010? Also, they still have no this correct?

Yes you are correct. No icons in 2010 either. Not sure why they would be hidden for you in 2010. I run 2010 at home and they were all enabled by default. In 2008 I had to go around to all of our computers and enable them, though.
