Here is the latest model for my portfolio. It was done in conjunction with a humanities class at the Art Institute of Dallas. Quite a bit of research has gone into it and I tried to keep everything as historically accurate as possible. Eventually he will be rigged for animation for my demo reel, but as far as the class is concerned he is "finished" for now. Any comments and crit are welcome. Thanks guys.

looks great, only thing that pops out at me is the arms...
they seem a tad long... it maybe the perspective but i just did some measuring with my fingers on the screen and it seems to go a bit to far...double check me on that

but good work...

I am also ALumni of the Dallas Art institute..graduated in spring `99....!!!
I seem to remember modelling the roman Aquaducts for my humanities class though..

I'd say just about perfect.
The only thing I would add is that the textures make everything look so new and its polished with Endust or something.
I dont know how to explain it but this is a very awsome model.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Hopefully he'll be fighting before too long.

Strang: I double checked the arms and I think they are actually a little short. Not quite as far finger to finger as he is tall, even with the arms stright out. I'll post up a stright from and side when I get a chance later, and you can double check me on that.

Wow, very cool! I remember this from the WIP forum, and I couldn't wait to see it finished. The toes look slightly unnatural, and the arms look a little strange (I'm not sure what it is about them, though). Overall, very good job :). I'd love to see this fella animated :D
