ok, some stupid questions: what programs are good to add sound to my animations?

And are there any good programs to create sounds? I mean to add some effects and so on?

I personally like Sound Forge for edditing the actual WAV files. As far as putting in sound...any decient video edditing app will let you add in sound. I use Adobe's Premiere and After Effects. I'm not sure about a program for actually making sounds. If I need some sound that I don't have I'll usually try and make the sound in the realworld, and record it with a microphone. Then I'll eddit it in Sound Forge.

hope that helps.
