View Full Version : Mental Ray Bug or Wrong Parameters !?

Hello Everybody,
I am having this issue for a long while and no idea why is this happened on my Mental Ray render.
I am using a Dialectric Material with Final Gaether settup and seems that something failed several times in my render making alpha mask where it hasn't to be there.

Any idea !?

I don't suggest using the dielectric mat since its outdated but maybe your refl/refr limit's in your raytrace settings are too low. As the camera moves, things move in front of each other. Try going to those frames and raising your reflection and refraction limits.

Thank you very much for your reply, I will increase thoose values to see if works better.
By the way, what material do you suggest to used insted of Dialectric !?
Mia material have a nice Glass set but still couldn't get the same result of geometry deformation behind the glasses as I can get in Dialectric.
