I have created a landscape from a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) file. Plugging this file in as the displacement map.
I have an 8K texture swatch of the 10km square area which I have plugged into the diffuse channel.
The texture looks great. From a distance and even to some extent zoomed in. :buttrock:
I can generate several high res texture swatches, at variable elevations in my mapping program. I could grab closer texture swatches for the shots in which the camera is closer to the terrain.
How would I plug these multiple textures into the one diffuse channel of my displacement map. Or somehow isolate patches of the 1 displacement map (Nurbs surface) so as to get this localized detail on the terrain?
