Is it possible i know that standard maya rigidbodies do affect ncloth object but i couldn't find solution how can ncloth object affect rigid body object.

Is there a solution for this or am i kicking in the dark,

Much appreciate quick answers cos i am kinda in a deadline.

Thanks a lot.

Just did a quick test, it is possible..

Create your rigid body and nCloth as normal.

Then select your rigid body object and go to 'nCloth' > 'create passive'

I think he wants the cloth to affect the rigid too, which that method wont work.

You need to make everything nCloth and make the objects you wanted Rigid Body, to just be stiff cloth, faking rigids.

Numerous methods, from either using Rigidity, to using nConstraints...

Try either to get started, should be ok...

what kind of rigid objects are you using? simple spheres, etc?

Jep it is simple sphere ball. NCloth rigidity is really hard to manage.

Thanks for the answers,

i just did a shoot like this too, i made em all ncloth and bump up the balls bend resistance really high like 1000@0.02scale.

result is not that impressive tho...
would like to know if theres other method to doing this.

could you elaborate? what do you want to do?
why is it hard to manage?
did you try nConstraints to make it rigid?

its far from perfect, and different than using rigid bodies, but depending on your shot you may be able to get away with it if you really need to have both Rigids and Ncloth interact...
