View Full Version : Putting a label on mia glass

Hello, I'm trying to make a model of a beaker, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get a label on the glass material. Anyone know how?

The way id do this is setup to shaders, one for the label, and then a refracting material for the glass, then use a layered shader with a alpha to blend between the 2 materials

Or you can just map different attributes of mia material- for example transparency of glass-white, label- black; etc .

I would just select some of the beaker's faces, the ones around where your label will be, and duplicate then slightly offset them. Make an image map for this new piece of geometry, with your label, and then have two separate objects. Works great on my wine bottles!
