View Full Version : Squalus Electric Car

( is the "Squalus" Electric Car, by the Vibora Motor Co. Each of the four wheels contains its own electric powerplant, and is not attached to a conventional axle in any way. Instead, each wheel rotates and pivots within its own socket by means of a system of rollers, electro-magnets and an independent suspension sytem. A central computer manages and coordinates the workings of all four steerable powerplants. This guarantees complete control and superior handling at any speed. The overall shape of this vehicle was inspired by a member of the shark family, so I chose the appropriate name "Squalus". I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and imagining how it would actually operate.

Squalus sounds wierd for a car name.
Can you imagine telling some hot babe your taking out on a date
"Wanna take a ride in my Squalus?"

I like the contour shapes, especially those around the tires, but I think they may cause some problems if there is a pot hole in the road.

I like this render. You have good artistic skill. I hope you can try out a few more models'

It is an unusual name, I agree, especially in English. The name "tiburon" is already taken, so I couldn't use that one.

Thanks, glad you like the render, I will definitely try a couple more ideas before it's over. There's still plenty of time left on this challenge, and I am amazed at all the imaginative designs I am seeing so far, both 2D and 3D. I was thinking maybe a spaceship or a watercraft for my next one?
