I follow this normal process for rigs .

Tech check → Joint Setup → Skining → Corrective Shapes or PSD → Finalizing rig
Well it include other details & others process , but this are the main processes.

As I am curious to know about the process flow for muscle based rigs!!!

I will appreciate if some one share his/her approach for muscle based rigging from start to end.

I do a similar approach for deformation.
Base Joints & skinCluster -> bone-based muscle rig (squash & stretch on a splineIK or Ribbon) -> specialized tweaks (sculptDeformer, wireDeformers) -> Corrective Blends.

lots of small details that go into it. I would love to share more with you PM me!
