View Full Version : Start and Stop nCloth Objects and Dynamics?

Sorry for the newb question, but how do I keyframe the start of simulations on nCloth objects?

I have a system setup with various fields and passive collider objects and multiple nCloth objects. I want certain nCloth objects to stay in place until a certain frame and then I want them to start simulating? I know I can tell the solver to start on a certain frame, but I'm only wanting to use a single nucleus instance. Is there a way to do this? I wish I could just key the "enable" checkbox on the nCloth object, but I can't seem to do that.

I've searched all over trying to figure out how to do this. Right now I'm hacking it together using multiple nucleus solver instances which seems like a bad way to do it.

Also, how do you do this same thing with regular dynamics?

you can key them, only in the channel box... always look at the channel box ;)

or you could use Nconstraints to lock them in place and then release them...
