View Full Version : Import your own plant geometry

I have modelled some low geometry plantsi n Maya and I wish to use those plants in Vue's ecosystem

Can we import our own geometry for plants? Also will the UVs be saved as well?

Yes, simply export from maya as .obj and in vue, in the eco-system dialog, instead of choosing "plant", choose "object" :)

I never tried from maya, but other files imported as .obj do keep their uvs so I would guess it's pretty safe to say it will come with uvs :)

the downside is of course that the geometry wont be changed on a individual basis like vue´s solidgrowth plants. Other then that ecosystems works just as good with static geometry as they do with solidgrowth plants.
