Can anyone point me in the right direction to a good spine tutorial?

I would prefer something that semantically could be applied to most competent packages.

Basically a minmum of coding (something not involving higher mathematical functions ie quaternions).

if you are using Maya you can check the one we have in rig101 ( it's a pretty simple set-up

But to be honest, FK works great for the spine. You'll find that most work environments will end up using the simplest set-ups.. and it doesn't get simpler than FK.. AND it gives you a lot of control.
