View Full Version : 3Dsmax mental ray daylight HDRI custom sky

I have a problem with integrating my footage inside 3dsMax. I've used Boujou to solve the camera, then I've switched the X and Y-axis because of 3dsmax' inverted system. Everythings goes well right now. Then I create a daylight system and render with Metal Ray. But does anyone know how to replace the standard mr. Physical Sky with a custom HDRI image taken from the enviroment I shot, but still preserve the sun and the GI and final gather etc. settings?

If this cannot be done, I'll have to use a standard 3dsmax skylight and let it use the enviroment but a skylight takes alot of time to render and is not as accurate as the Metal Ray daylight system. Help would be really apprechiated!:D
