View Full Version : Maya skin cluster/cmuscle problem

Hi, i have a tail on a rig that is rigged driven by maya dynamic hair. I have set it up and bound the character and it looks great but when i try and convert the skin cluster to cmuscle system, the tail just goes limp when i do an interactive playback in the dynamics menu. before converting to cmuscle it stayed rigid mostly. I've also tried adding nurbs surfaces as influence to the original maya skin cluster and this doesnt work either. does anyone know why this would happen or how i can fix it?

It sounds like the cMuscle node is not recognizing the spline IK/Hair setup. You could try deleting it prior to adding your cMuslce skin and then re-apply after your skin is finished.
