My first attempt of modelling a male body...:)
I'm using 3ds max 5
I'm not aiming for perfection, just a simple model but want to include all essential details.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.....

looking good. Is he for animation? are you going to rig his peepee as well? If he is animated you can't model that and then ignore it, if it's for a biology video then it works :D
Other than that he should have some ankles (front view) the width of his foot is about the same as that of his ankle.
Also, the shape of a foot from the profile looks a bit too linear.
His wrists are a bit thick and the back of his hands need a bit of smoothing, his tendons are sticking out a bit too sharply.
he's almost there, just needs a few tweaks.
Get some good reference for the parts that look off and work on them like they were their own separate model (hands and feet mostly)
The neck area from the 3/4 view looks like it could use a bit of tweaking too but it's hard to see from these renders. basically you should see the two tendons going from the bottom of each ear and meeting at the pitt of the neck. and the the adam's apple between them.

looks good
but only one thing: in the middle of your character is a cut. this cut doesn't look very nice.

You need to add more detail. His rib cage is showing but there is no ribs. The muscles could use more definition as well.

Thx for the suggestions mehdianim and slaughters...
Dont think I'll animate him, but I'd pose him if I dont get bored of him. Right now just practicing on him.

Rox ....the cut is due to mirrorring, it'll be stiched after he's finished :wip:

Added a bit of details and corrections done....
I'll start texturing now ;) But suggestions/crits are still welcome, I need them for my next body :)

Good :thumbsup: nice work.
But I must tell you it requried more details in some part of body like elbow, back sholder, ankel fingers. if you can add some bones to that body then I guess it would be complete human.
And some parts like neck its become very obvious.
There is no perfection to body:rolleyes:
hoping for the best in future:wavey:

Symmetrical for now, I plan to map head,palm and toes seperately.
Tex size is 3000x3000

couple things *i'm not gana comment on texturing not qualified enough*

1) looks great his waist line torso-hips is looking slightly female he need much much more defination around the belly area and it should fix its self try having a look at the anatomy pictures at
fineart.sk men don't just have 6 packs *also he has no lower abs you gave him his six pack bunched up above the belly button*

2)His calves look good but this theighs need work no much just like before a bit more defination

I'm not sure but his lower leg (calves) look too short.

Thanks eLm0....I made more muscles in abs area and chaged the shape of thigh a bit, but I'm not doing it boldly bcoz a big muscle somewhere means changing all muscles proportionately = a lot of work :D
Made his peepee a bit bigger !:p

About proportions-

Yeah, you're getting there, but a few things left; The chestmuscles around the armpit needs a lot more definition and the crevace (i think thats the word) has to be set higher, the pelvis bone needs to be defined even more and nipples should probly be set a bit lower. I think the chest is just a bit too broad and wide + I'd like too see some more muscle in the back, spec his shoulders.

Other than that, good model and great texturing.

Definately agree about back muscles, looking for a good ref pic of back.
About crevice and armpit area I'm not sure what are you really suggesting :hmm:
I'll try out other things and lets see if they make him look better...

And skinning is giving me headaches :annoyed:

Heheheh, nice chest hair!

There's some definite issues still happening with the anatomy though-- the first thing I noticed was the arrangement of the pectoral muscles and shoulders. When the arms are lifted, the line from chest to upper shoulder should not be a downward curve. There's a tendon in there that hooks up and over from the chest to the shoulder, that lifts as the arm comes up. Also you haven't defined the point of the collarbone, at the base of where the upper shoulder muscle is. I've scribbled a bit on a pic to try to emphasize the layout, if that helps some.

Also, his booty is looking a little funky... the crack at the back is looking more like a dent pushed into clay, rather than a real crack... I mean, if you wanted him to be a construction worker, where would he keep his pencil? It'd drop right through... heheh.

Fixing the crack now. But what do you want me to do with booty exactly?
