View Full Version : Alpha issue with mib_volume in Maya 8 Mental Ray

Hey everyone. I have a question concerning a render I am doing in Mental Ray for Maya 8. Basically I am utilizing an mib_volume shader attached to the camera and everything works great... except when an object with transparency is in front of the fog. (as you can see in the image with the hanging moss) I know that in 3Ds Max a guy solved the issue by using Arch and Vis shaders instead of the default shaders, but I dont have access to these in Maya. Does anyone know how to remedy this problem?
