Hey all,

finally I have finished my transformer animation, which was the main task in the third semester and I'm very glad to show it on cgtalk. We had to create, model and animate a transformer that should be composited into a video footage (thanks to Mackevision www.mackevision.de for the footage)

hi, the video is pretty good, there are just few things that i dont like:

shot 1: the shadow/AO under the wheels i think it s too dark

shot 2: you have a pop on the smoke at sec 00.27

overall there s something about the integration with the plate that throw me off ... maybe a bit more of grain on the 3d? or a bit of light wrap from the environment?

and the animation it s a bit stiff, u need more sense of weight, and weight shift on the walking.

but overall pretty good work

yeah the right amount of shadow was a big problem and in the beginning I hadn't had any AO in the shot and it seemed to be to less shadow and now it's to much on some parts but the time ran out to fix it.
Thanks for the criticism on the animation because I really want to learn it and this was the first time I animated a character and build the rig for it. The hardest thing was to find the right balance between a mechanical thing and a humanoid robot. Next time it will be better because of this experience.
