i am trying to create a scene with some cartoon lighting. if someone could give me ideas of were to look either tuitorials or a website i would appreciate it.

I don't know what you mean by cartoon lighting. I think you mean using a cartoon shader and it depends which 3D program you are using. I always felt Maya had one of the best cartoon shaders built into it and there is a Digital Tutors disk on how to use that toon shader which is pretty good. What 3D package are you using?

Sometimes these toon shaders are called cell shaders (the term cell coming from the old ink on acetate cells used in the traditional animation studios like Disney before most shifted over to computer animation).
